troopsLeaked results from a massive Pentagon study on how best to implement a change in the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy  show that a majority of troops could serve with openly gay and lesbian colleagues, according to the Washington Post.

The findings could boost an effort to pass legislation containing repeal language when the U.S. Senate reconvenes after the mid-term elections.

Pro-repeal groups met with President Barack Obama and top White House staffers this week to strategize about how to accomplish that before the end of this year.
