sageServices and Advocacy for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Elders (SAGE), a New York-based non-profit focused on the needs of older LGBT adults, has opened an office in the nation’s capital in order to press its mission at the federal level, the group announced today.

SAGE officials also announced two new senior staffers, including John Johnson, who will serve as director of federal government relations in D.C.  Robert Espinoza has been hired as senior director for policy and communications, and will work in the group’s New York office.

SAGE is a recent recipient of a $900,000 federal grant to establish a national resource center on LGBT aging.
