Guess who’s coming to Brunch?
Congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) and newly-elected Houston Mayor Annise Parker will address attendees at the Victory Fund’s 10th annual Champagne Brunch, to be held April 18 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. The event celebrates the past year’s success electing openly LGBT candidates and raises money to build on that success in the year ahead.
Last year more than 600 attendees sold out the Grand Ballroom of the Mayflower Hotel. Organizers predict this year’s event will sell out even earlier. ”You’ll want to get your tickets now,” said Jason Mida, vice president for development at the Victory Fund. ”The excitement surrounding Mayor Parker’s historic victory has generated a lot of interest in the Brunch already,” Mida added.
A silent auction will feature more than 50 items up for bid. Last year’s auction items included resort stays, cruises, wine collections, restaurant gift certificates and art.
