Georgia Equality to honor former Victory Fund chairs
Paul Horning and Cindy Abel, both former board chairs of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund and residents of Atlanta, will be honored by Georgia Equality June 27 at the organization’s fifth annual Evening for Equality.
Horning and Abel will recieve the group’s Political Advancement Award for their efforts to elect openly LGBT candidates across the U.S. Victory Fund Board Chair Mark Burstein said the awards are well-deserved: ”Paul and Cindy have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to achieving LGBT equality, particularly through electoral politics. I offer them both the congratulations and deep gratitude of the board and staff of the Victory Fund, and thank Georgia Equality for recognizing these dedicated leaders.”
