Anne Fauvre has dropped out of the race for a third term on the Atlanta City Council, saying eight years of service has been enough, and adding, “I need to find a new challenge that pays better.”

At least one openly gay man, Steve Brodie, will run for Fauvre’s seat.  Brodie came within five votes of beating Fauvre four years ago, according to the Southern Voice.
