Ed Zipprich ran for the Red Bank City Council in 2007, but narrowly lost. Undeterred, Ed attended a candidate and campaign training by the Gay & Lesbian Leadership Institute and launched another campaign.

Bolstered by his training and a Victory Fund endorsment, Ed campaigned hard for a spot on the city council. We just heard that Ed won his election.

He told us:

“I feel stronger to be the first openly gay city councilman in Red Bank.”
