We know who the dispicable Representative is here in Oklahoma, and trust me, you will make no hero of her by releasing her name. I believe that her name should be released so that others, outside of Oklahoma, can contact her to help hold her accountable for the onslaught of hate speech she spewed at this event. She really is a horrible person – I had the misfortune of listening to her speak against non-citizens when Oklahoma debated its now infamous comprehensive Immigration Reform bill, which was passed and approved last year. Her comments then and her comments now certainly suggest that she is nothing more than a bigot.

Oh, come on. How much longer are we going to take the alleged high road? Haven’t we played the “thank you for the place at your shitty table” card for too long already? I don’t give a rats ass if she becomes a hero to others like her. Power to her if that is her destiny. I think it would be AWESOME if she were the grand-poobah leader of the religious right. They deserve that kind of brain trust.

I am personally searching for a GLBT organization that has th balls to call this kind of shit out. I am sick and tired of being a step-n-fetchit. It hasn’t gotten us very far, for all the work and money we have spent. Isn’t it just about time to stop playing “we’re just like YOU!!!”? Isn’t it time to start playing “we are NOTHING like you and we are sick of your bullshit?”

Release her name and I’ll raise 10k for you. I promise.

Not sure I agree with that logic.

First off – so what if she becomes a hero in anti-gay circles? Let her. More power to her.

Second – sometimes when a person’s bigotry is brought to light publicly with their name and face attached, that person re-thinks their views. Probably wouldn’t happen here, granted.

I wouldn’t want this woman to receive threats or harassment, but it WAS a public hearing by public servants. People, both in OK and elsewhere, have the right to question her on her public statements.
